for Nisha Sainani Label, SS 2016
Attraversiamo by Nisha Sainani, was her spring summer collection back in 2016, inspired by her own Eat Pray Love journey of Italy, India and Bali.The term Attraversiamo means 'Lets cross over' and this collection was the designer's ode to how travel contributed to her personal and creative journey that year.

This project was an interesting challenge, to push sustainability and consciousness while creating. The primary brief was
-to create a quality window display in a small spacial capacity
-only use present permanent fixtures (half a dozen wall hooks)
-keep it tidy from both indoor and outdoor viewer perspectives, while maintaining the store's visual balance
-deliver a creative and effective outcome in a small budget
To represent elements of travel and adventure of the collection, I incorporated scrapped tyres ( in reasonably good looking shape) that were being discarded from a local car repair shop, at zero cost. A little cleaning and few layers of pastel paints brought them to life!
I added reusable artificial flower garlands to match the elements of romance and spirituality, adding a soft contrast to the boldness of the tyres. Cream cotton ropes to suspend the installation tied the idea together beautifully.Finally, I installed a temporary softboard frame and pinned a few flowers onto it to complete the look.

Given the size of the the store, apart from the window I added a smaller set of props in one corner extending from the same the wall to achieve theme continuity and balance.
